Food Saver Canning

Dumb Potato question?
My husband decided to shred some hashbrowns and food saver them and freeze them. They had already turned reddish. Is there anything wrong with that? And how can we keep that from happening...just rinse them before packaging?
You could squeeze a little lemon over them before you package them.

I have a food Saver Vac 420 that wont seal Any help?
I have a FoodSaver Vac 420 that will suck all the air out but the unit wont seal.
Anyone else had this problem?
How can I fix it?
I dont want to purchase a new one they are quite expensive for what they do and I dont use it much but when I use it I want it to work.
i had the same problem. make sure that you're following the directions exactly. if it still isn't working call the 1 -800 number for it and explain your problem to them. in my case they had me cut off part of the electrical cord and send it to them and they sent me a brand new unit.

I don't think it will have more fry, however another fish may. I would suggest feeding the young fry the micro food for a little while until they are around 1.5 cm in length and then feed crushed flake for a while. They can probably be released with the other fish after a few months if not less, just look to see the size of them and if they can be eaten or not.
