MAD HATTER AUDITIONS?
Hey, In Alice In Wonderland we have to audition ofcourse.
I am auditioning for the .. MAD HATTER!
The Drama Teacher gave me this line to say.. in character.. how do you think the Mad Hatter would say this? And what actions should i include? What accents.?
'Twinkle, Twinkle Little Bat,
I dont know where the rabbit's at
And if my answer you should doubt,
Pick me up and pour me out.'

It's totally up to you dude.
You need to use your Imagination and Confidence.
It's kinda like saying to someone:
"I'm going to bake a cake! Now who'd like to bake the cake for me?"
You're an Actor not a Puppet!
Perform what the Script and the Character mean to You!
Performers draw their inspiration from all over the place.
What works for someone else, mightn't work for you - and vice verse.
That's the point of Auditions.
To ensure you can create something yourself + that what you create is inline with directors vision. You get most of that from knowing the script.
