Saver Advance
Computer screen saver not working? Suggestions, please?
It's been like this for months, and after my dad promised 3 times to take a look at it but never has, I've decided I'm going to try and fix it.
I have a Dell Vostro 1500 laptop, and I have my screen saver set to "Aurora" and wait 10 minutes and the "On resume, display logon screen" box unchecked.
Yet, the screen saver isn't coming up. I had my laptop left on all night last night, and it didn't even go to sleep. I came downstairs over 24 hours later to get on and it was still on, with my picture in my background up and ready to go, all my icons still there like I had just turned on my laptop. No screen-saver, no automatic shut down.
Could you please help me get my screen saver to work?

I'm not an expert but I have a couple of suggestions:
Try changing the time on the settings to 3 minutes, and wait without touching the computer for that time. Otherwise, try also playing with the "power options" (see Control panel); there are options there for password requirement, power plans, when to turn off display (along with the screen-saver), and changing when the computer sleeps. I really don't see why these tools can't be enough. You should just be able to control it from the screen-saver window. If the computer doesn't sleep, you should consider taking it for someone to have a look at it. Best of luck.

How do I delete the blue screen saver of death?
About 2 weeks ago My computer contracted the antivirus xp 2008 virus. I have the virus quarantined now.
I thought everything was fine until I left my computer idle and the blue screen saver of death appeared.
I have tried changing my screen saver by going to my desktop, right clicking into properties, and trying to find the screen saver tab but I think the virus must of hid it because I can't find it.
Does anyone know how to delete it?
