Vegetable Longer Fresh

tell me the best way to keep vegetables fresh longer?
i have a shop of veg can some one tell me the best way to sell it and keep veg fresh longer?
Different veg requires different storage methods. The longer you keep them the more vitamin content will start to be lost. Keep lettuce in a plastic bag with a sheet of kitchen towelling to absorb excess water and store in fridge. Cauliflower, celery, asparagus and leeks should be stored in a fridge draw crisper at the bottom. Lettuce, spinach. spring onions should be stored on a fridge shelf. Keep mushrooms in a brown paper bag tightly closed. Potatoes, apples, onions and oranges should be stored in a cool dark place such as a garage or cold room but not refrigerated. (add an apple to the potatoes to keep them from rotting). Tomatoes too can be kept in the fridge. Turnips, sprouts, cabbage and carrots taste better when the frost has been at them so you can leave them out in the open. If you are storing carrots for a long time you can plant them in a bucket of damp sand. If you find your veg is starting to deteriorate blanch it and put in the freezer. As for selling you could try selling ready packed veg boxes in your local area or set up a market stall to sell it. Hope this helps...

Vegetable Growing $70.1 High Quality Content by WIKIPEDIA articles Vegetable farming is the growing of vegetables for human consumption. Traditionally it was done in the soil in small rows or blocks, often primarily for consumption on the farm, with the excess sold in nearby towns. Later, farms on the edge of large communities could specialize in vegetable production, with the short distance allowing the farmer to get his produce to market while still fresh. The three sisters method used by Native Americans(specifically the Haudenosaunee/Iroquois) grew squash, beans and corn together so that the plants enhanced each others growth. Planting in long rows allows machinery to cultivate the fields, increasing efficiency and output; however, the diversity of vegetables crops requires a number of techniques to be used to optimize the growth of each type of plant. Some farms, therefore, specialize in one vegetable; others grow a large variety. Due to the needs to market vegetables while fresh, vegetable gardening has high labor demands. Some farms avoid this by running upick operations where the customers pick their own produce. Author: Surhone, Lambert M./ Timpledon, Miriam T./ Marseken, Susan F. How to Can Tomatoes and Vegetables
I ruined my soup with fresh sage. What's the correct procedure?
I made a fresh vegetable soup with all my garden veggies. I threw in about 5 leaves of fresh sage and let the soup simmer for a couple hours. It was totally horrible! I finally figured out that the bad taste was from the sage. The sage taste was overpowering. So, gardeners and cooks, please tell me what proportions to use and how long to leave it in the broth.
I did check on the internet via search engines, and many of them said to throw in a couple teaspoons of cut fresh sage. Is my sage more overpowering than normal, because this amount would still be too much. Was I supposed to remove the leaves after the first couple minutes?
Sage should not be used in soup. Rosemary, Thyme or Bay Leaves are good for soup. You can use other herbs depending upon what type of soup you make.
Mint
Tarragon
Marjoram
Savory
Dill
