Case Gallon Size
What size aquarium should I get?
I have an apartment so pretty much the only pet I can have is some fish. So I want a basic, beginner setup that looks nice in my living room. I don't think I could do more than 12 gallons unfortunately. Smaller is preferred if it can be done in a way that is healthy for the fish. I've heard that won't be good for goldfish but what other fish could I get if I wanted 2-3 small fish of different colors? Different species that are ok living together would be cool. I like variety. I don't want anything that will suffer in a smaller tank. I had fish as pets as a kid but as of right now I don't know much of anything. If you can recommend a setup that would be great. Also, budget is definitely a concern in my case so if you think it is going to be expensive to have a few little fish or setup a healthy tank let me know.
If you have never kept fish and don't know anything, start off buy buying a book on keeping fish. You can't get everything you need to know here, and question places like this are to clear up confusion or conflicting information or deal with a certain issue, not to learn an entire hobby.
Fish cost money, even small tanks, so don't even bother if you are really broke. You need a tank, and it needs a filter and heater and lid. You will want decorations and gravel which cost money. The fish cost money. You need food, conditioner, fish net, a couple of cleaning buckets, a vacuum and syphon hose. A thermometer too.
Larger is always, always better. More stable and more room for the fish to do their things.
12 gallons is ok for a few small fish, but don't go any smaller than 10, which becomes cramped for almost any fish. Don't get a fancy orb or cube type aquarium. Old fashioned glass rectangle tanks offer the best usable room per gallon and are easier to work with.
In a 12 gallon you can do about 6 small fish without a problem. Variety isn't much option in a small tank. Small fish like this tend to be schoolers (in fact, mosts type of fish do best in groups), so forget about 'different colours' unless you choose a fish like fancy guppies that come in different colours even though they are the same species. Keeping the fish as one of this and one of that to gain variety means they won't do well. Also, though variety seems like a better idea to beginners, tanks look soooo much better kept with less species and bigger groups.
And remember - small fish are small for life as adults, not just small because you bought them that way, so research any fish you consider.
Before you start this tank, gain an understanding of what the 'cycle is' as well as how to introduce and feed the fish properly and how to take care of the tank with weekly maintenance.
But read a book. If you can't afford one, borrow one.
Oh and last, go into the fish store knowing what you need. Employees are not dependable in anyway and very often give really lousy advice.

Corys and a male betta in a 10 gallon?
Sorry for asking so many fish questions lol! XD
I discovered albino corys yesterday and fell in love! Such a cute fish! 
Anyways, I was wondering if 5 albino corys and 1 male betta would be okay in a 10 gallon?
I definitely want corys(so cute!), but my only problem would be with the betta. I was told they're weak against strong currents so what would I do with a filter? That would make it a bit easier when adding them. That way they'd have a buddy on the way home!
One more thing, I've heard that you are supposed to add the fish two at a time? Should I add the corys in pairs then introduce the betta last?
Cories and bettas do great together, although I might just get 4 cories because of space issues. 5 can work, but it might overload the system. For a filter, I suggest a sponge filter.

That’s pretty much the feedback that I get at work too. I wouldn’t mind having the half gallon size bottle because that would be cool to have!
1.) You can never have to much air.
2.) My personal experience it takes two days(depending on temperature) to hatch.
3.) Its probably a poor living space, overcrowded, and lacking nececities. Probably made as cheap as posible
i think that is stupid because i will accidently order a large and get this huge thing and 1. get sick from too much or 2. drink that much liquid without realizing
