Sealer Kitchen What should I use to seal polished green onyx tiles?
I am planning on having them installed for a kitchen backsplash, but want to know what I should do about sealing before install? I was told to do this as a preventative measure. BUT, I have read online that sealing polished Onyx is pointless because nothing penetrates it.
I bought a penetrating sealer and color enhancer...tested it and it looks the same.
So, is it pointless to do this to all the tiles or is there a specific product that will work?
this is a very tricky subject some site don't mention a sealer but recommended for shower recess and kitchen splash back.
found on link need to seal regularly seal the tiles saw some where cant find now that have to use a sealer for green onyx tiles had used a sealer for marble and not correct.
so yes sealer right to use just make sure correct for your tiles and very careful what you use as a cleaner no vinegar solutions on chemicals

Where can I find a seam sealer that has no gloss?
The new vinyl flooring in our kitchen is a matte finish, not glossy at all. Can't find a seam seal for no-gloss floors to complete our job.
In your case I would check with a local hardware store in your area such as a home depot or Lowe's etc. If they don't have it I would definitely check into a local floor covering wholesaler who sells flooring installation materials and supplies. This is where we (the flooring professionals go to purchase)
If you are still having a hard time finding the sealer call they manufacturer of the flooring you just bought and see what they have to recommend!
