Canister Lid
Old Bisquick shortbread recipe?
Instead of making the ugly individual strawberry shortcakes i need the old recipe for sweet shortbread from bisquick. It was on the recipe card on the lid of the old plastic canister they sold with bisquick 25 years ago. It was baked in an 8x8 pan with dry sugar sprinkled on top before baking for a nice sweet top crust. Much better than the individual ones for strawberry shortcake. Betty crocker's website only had fancy-schmancy recipes.
The recipe is pretty much the same.
Make the one that is on the current box and pat into an 8X8 pan. Brush the top with either milk or butter and sprinkle the top with the sugar. Just remember don't over mix.
the bake time will be a bit longer than the individual ones. If the recipe for the coffee cake is still on the box the bake time would probably be between the time given for the individual shortcakes and the coffee cake. So if the bake time for the individual ones is 10 min and the coffee cake is 30 min I would check the 8X8 pan at about 15 to 20 min.

How do I dry out humid sugar?
The kids left the lid off the canister of sugar for who knows how long and with the humidity over 90% I now have fluffy, moist sugar. Is there anything I can do to dry it out?
I always heard a cork will draw moisture out. maybe?

I have the same problem as Valerie. My system is a PCC2000 circa 1998. I “inherited” it when I bought the house in 2003. The in-deck canister is plumbed to both the skimmer and main drain. There is no separate pump. The water level in the pool is slightly more than halfway up the skimmer. The balance line is open and there is several inces of water above the canister lid.My symptoms are, with the skimmer fully open, I can see there is no air in the canister. When I start to close the skimmer using the flapper valve, air bubbles appear under the canister lid. THe more I close the skimmer, the more air appears. With the skimmer fully closed, the air looks like a rolling boil and within a minute the water drains down to the top of the basket. Leaving the skimmer closed results in air bubbling from the return lines.I suspected the line connecting the skimmer and canister, but I bought a 2″ plug and plugged the skimmer side of the canister. The symptoms were the same as a closed skimmer. I can’t say the plug was airtight, but it shouldn’t have let that much air in so quickly.Even if there is a blockage in the main drain, which I believe I have (more on that in a bit) I don’t see how air is getting into a “closed” system unless there is either a breach somewhere (in the canister?) or the system is designed to pull air in those circumstances. If it is my design then I can’t use the system. Closing the skimmer halfway as recommended, put me right at the tipping point of sucking air to the return lines. If the skimmer should becaome even partailly clogged, as when a storm blows through or wind decides to blow stringy pollen and seeds into the pool, then I risk losing prime at the pump. If this happens when I’m at work or asleep, I could burn out my pump.As far as the blockage goes, I believe the main drain grate is deteriorated and breaking up because I am seeing bits of flat plastic in the strainer basket. Do you sell replacements?

Luckily, this grinder helps with that, as one has to rest a finger on the receiving canister lid to keep it from lifting and spraying the counter with cornmeal. That becomes a bit tiresome, so the grinder motor gets plenty of cool-off time in the process.
