Canisters Storage
Canister for sugar, flour and ect?
I bought the Storage Mate canister looking plastic containers for my Sugar, Flour, All Purpose Flour, Powered Sugar and Brown Sugar. I am a big baker.
I have labeled them and put the date of purchase on each canister so that I will know if I need to replace as I bake seasonally.
My question is today, I had done some baking and used up the sugar and flour. I was in a hurry and did not wash the canisters before adding the new in. Is that a problem? Do I need to rewash them before I add the fresh in?

First of all you sound just like me with the labeling and dating. Right on!
Anyway...if you used them all up then you don't really need to worry. Also it sounds like you're doing enough baking so that you don't have flour and sugar hanging around for years at a time.
If you only bake once a year like around the holidays, then I would purchase fresh flour and sugar etc anyways so that I would be guaranteed fresh ingredients. However if you're breaking out the oven mitts and pans every other month, there is no worry about washing the containers.
Next time you use something up and you have the time give them a good wash.

Where is the Fuel Vapor Storage Canister on my 2001 Ford Escape?
I am having some emissions problems with my 2001 Ford Escape XLT 4x4 V6. We are doing a trial and error so to speak ourselves...the guy at autozone said to check the fuel vapor storage canister, can anyone tell me where it is? We have a picture of it but still can't see to find it.
Off the fuel filler neck. Some of those evap codes are caused by an improperly sealing fuel cap...some of them.

You are right that plastic seems to have taken over the world and its a great shame how much is disposable and ends up in our oceans. I love the early plastics, and they were so much better quality that they have lasted and are now collectable. If plastic items today were better made, we wouldn't end up throwing so many away into landfills. So I always buy vintage plastic for canisters, storage etc. and try to minimise the amount of modern plastic in my life. Glad you are highlighting the problem.
They had more fuel canisters in storage. Most of the time you won't get that luxury.
