Does my aquarium starter kit need an air pump?
Today I bought an aquarium starter kit 5 gal from Walmart (AQUA CULTURE). It comes with a power filter (Tetra Whisper Power Filter 5-15 gal). Should I get an air pump for my kit? Actually what is the purpose of an airpump?
As long as your filter causes water movement, an air pump isn't necessary.
Air pumps and those bubbles are pretty much decorative, what oxygenates a tank is surface movement, not little bubbles. The action of the little bubbles from an air stone popping at the surface does oxygenate, but as long as the filter causes surface movement it'll be just as good.
All I'd recommend for a 5g tank is a single male Betta, what were you planning on adding?

friend gave me the medela pump in style traveler breastpump but dont have the kit to go with the pump so i can pump my breastmilk. just asking if the medela lactina double pumping kit go with this pump in style traveler breastpump.

I’m with you, though in my case, it’s a $5 bill and a $1 bill — enough to get a daily pass on local transit lines, just on the off chance that my tool kit can’t hack it, but not so much that if I lose this tool kit like I did the last one, it doesn’t hurt quite so bad. The bills came in handy, too, when I needed a tire boot after flat number three on a July 4 ride. Oddly, that same ride made me very glad I always patch the old tube on site when swapping it out…
yes, it is the air pump. More correctly, secondary air injection pump. You most likely won't be able to find the parts new. You should be able to find them in a salvage yard. I'll look in my gm parts catalog computer tomorrow when I'm at work. they may be discontinued, but you never know until you look.
