Orbital Buffer
How do I restore a 10 year old car's finish? Easy to DIY?
I got a 2000 ford taurus. Normal dings and scratches. Should I just take it to a detailer?
1) If they polish it , will it remove the clear coat?
2) Is this something easy to do myself? Get random orbital buffer, rubbing compound, polishing compound? Or clear coat safe polishing compound?
3) Spray back on several clear coats? Or just wax?
Thanks for any help.

Hardwood floor buffing : Random orbital, or circular?
I need to wax my hardwood floors. I'm torn between buying an inexpensive automotive buffer and renting a floor buffer. I have to do our entire house a little bit at a time so I'm leaning toward not renting since the cost could add up pretty quickly. What I need to know is whether the random orbital motion of a car buffer is okay for floors? Or is it important to use a floor buffer that has a circular motion. Thanks in advance to anyone with suggetions!
I would suggest having your wood floors refinished with polyurethane, then you will never have to worry about waxing again, and they will keep there shine. Polyurethane is maintenance free. If you are sure you do want to wax, I would deffinitely rent a buffer, it has alot more weight to help the wax penitrate the floor, it will spead the wax more evenly, and you could easily do it all in a day. If you need to do it by areas because furniture, get all of the stuff moved into half of the house, go rent the buffer (approx $30 at Home Depot), do that half, let sit for reccomended time, move all furniture to half already completed and do that half, you shold be able to get away with one 24 hour rental for all of it, however that will be a busy 24 hours. If you have not used a buffer before maybe get a square buffer they are easier to use; it's easy to put a regular buffer through the wall.Good Luck

That's right, the reason for Dirk receiving the MVP. I actually have the trophy on my mantel right now. We trade off every other month b/c he knows how important I was to his winning this award. I buff it every day with my 10 inch Ryobi Orbital Buffer I purchased at Home Depot. Home Depot…you can do it. We can help! (i just got paid $100 for writing that.) That's right, I am shamelessly plugging Home Depot in the off-season. It's money BABY!!! and that is all I have to say about that!
So word around the campfire is Stack is Back!! BOOYA!! 3 more years of THE THUG EVERYONE LOVES TO LOVE. Old boy still has his hops and has been a great asset to this team the last few seasons. I love his interviews b/c no one can understand what he is saying. He can mumble with the best of them. Perhaps it's the larger wad of gum in his mouth, but that's what makes him a mysterious character.
I know as a member of the staff I shouldn't come out and say this but STACK is my favorite player on the team. He does the dirty work so that Pasty Dirk can prance around the 3pt line eating his red delicious apples while draining 3's. Stack will post it up, Stack will drive to the hole with reckless abandoment without regards for his own self. Stack will put someone on their ass when constantly driving the lane, while the rest of the team watches in awe. I spoke with Kobe after a game we played in LA last year and he said that as he was driving the lane.. “a little bit of pee came out” when he saw Stack about to knock him on his ass. If he causing pee to escape a players penus, then he is a player I want on this team.
This is a fantastic re-signing by Cuban. Quite possibly the only smart thing Cuban has done this off-season. Sorry boss, but tis' true.
