Rolls Turbo
i have a roll cage in my car, will adding a strut brace help handling?
i have a 94 pontiac firebird formula 6 speed with a squire turbo system and an 8 point roll cage welded to the chassis. i was thinking about getting a hotchkis strut brace, but i dont know if it even matters in rigidity. any thoughts?
I would get the brace if it isn't an extra weight issue. It will not do much for firewall-back chassis rigidity with your 8 point, but I think that the whole front end clip is not necesarily strengthened by the cage. For racing course or circuits, the brace will help. I dunno about launching in drag racing with that setup, so others have aswered that. I think your front end twists on a hard launch if you have true slicks, but it may not bother you. Drag radials will bring different results, and wheelspin I'm sure (depending on your gear, transbrake etc.). Ask the Hotchkiss engineers or tech dept.

would it be street legal to put a roll cage in the back of the seats of a 300zx twin turbo?
Yes its completely legal, but stupid. If you havea roll cage and do not wear a helment the tubes can crack open your skull in a roll over.
