Would a Chevy Equinox be a good car for our 4 day, 4 person road trip?
I am currently searching for a good car to use on an upcoming road trip. I am renting a car because our little Corrola isn't big enough AND probably won't make the trip. We will have 4 passengers plus the usual overnight bag and clothes, maybe a cooler, etc. I have heard a lot of good about this car and it's outstanding fuel economy. I am just a little concerned about comfort and storage space. We took an 09 Impala on our last trip and even though it was an outstanding car, it wasn't the comfiest thing, and comfort is important over a long distance. Is the Equinox large enough to hold the four of us comfortably?
Well, I'm just looking at a couple cars and wanted to know what people thought of it.
If you thought the Impala was uncomfortable, don't rent the Equinox. Less room and rougher ride. About the same amount of storage.

Europe and American economy collapse, gold, silver, preparing for crime and food shortages
Do you believe it's (the economy) so bad we should stock pile food?
I've spoke to many friends and family lately and I'm hearing about people stock piling a years worth of food due to the ever worsening economy. Several of our neighbors are as well.
So, this past weekend I did as well, I put back 600lbs of rice, 500lbs of beans, I bought 1500 assorted can goods. I used those mylar bags with o2 absobers. I bought a generator that runs on propane and ordered a propane tank to put in a storage building on my property, I've been told it will run up to 6 solid months of full power for the house. I ordered a few other things but I would like to get your thoughts on this.
Is it time?
There is nothing wrong with being prepared,~ for whatever. I have been working very hard at becoming self reliant. I would hate to be hungry and rely on the gov.

My toaster oven and laptop get lots of use, too, and we buy baking soda at the club store in 13.5 lb bags. Probably my most-used tools that’s not on your list would be plastic zip-top storage bags, sticky notes, and tote bags (similar to basket use on your list).
