How many years is safe to keep camping gaz cartridges?
The ones you cook with.
I've got a few in a box... which have been there since 1991. The canisters aren't impacted or damaged.
The gas won't get out of any old seals will it, or change properties with age?
I can't find info anywhere about useby dates or long term storage, nothing on the containers either - and no answers about it on their site.

You can keep them indefinately.
Just keep them in a dry, well ventilated space (NOT in your house) and inspect them from time to time.
If they show any signs of corrosion (rust) dispose of them.

Ideas for storage inside kitchen canisters????
My kitchen counter-top canisters are empty. What is good idea for things to store in them. I use plastic, tight fitting containers for the typical flour, sugar, etc. (Years ago I cashed my payroll check and put the money in a counter top canister, until I could get to the bank to deposit it. I started getting over-draft notices from the bank and couldn't figure out why. Well, I had totally forgotten to take the cash out and deposit it in bank.)
I store Coffee,tea bags,dryed beans,sugar,flour ,corn meal,rice,etc.Almost any dry good.cereals?
