fruits and vegetable storage question...........?
those green bags that are advertised on t.v.that keeps fruits and vegetables fresher longer, are you suppose to but the bags in the refreigerator after puting the contents in the bag
I have been useing the green bags and I love them .. do not put your tomatos or bananas in the fridge.keep them in the bags on a counter.I have had my bananas last up to two weeks on the counter. I kept a head of lettuce in a bag in the fridge for one month!! and yes it was still fresh when i took it out of the bag. They now have bags for lunch meat and bread!! I'm trying out the bread ones this week.. got the bread bags at wallgreens.

"Currently there is TV commercial about the ability of green plastic storage bags to lengthen the shelf life of fruits and vegetables that you might purchase to eat. The advertiser claims that the green bags are much more better for storage than the regular clear plastic bags. Explain the concept behind theis inovation in storage."
I do not understand the question at all, cause even thought were in the "plants" chapter, we havnt talked about anything relating to this nature

Maybe there are talking about some prokaryotic organisms that can photosynthesise and that the green bags stop light entering so these organisms cannot grow; spoiling food of food is caused by the excrements of the organisms. I don't really know but it is something.
