Is it possible to set up a storage pool in Windows 7?
I have google'd this every way I can think of and cannot come up with an answer. I have a bunch of small (~300gb) hard drives that I want to add to my system. I would like them to balance automatically like in WHS so that I don't have to manually save to individual drives. Is there a way to do this with software or is there another solution to easily manage the data on multiple drives. I have Windows 7 Ultimate.

I have an external hard drive (250 gig). How do i set it up as main memory storage?
Okay, I bought an external hard drive for extra memory cuz my main was getting filled up quick. Now that my main one is full, is there any way to set the external memory as my main memory drive? I just want to know this cuz it gets annoying saying 'Save to eBook' instead of just hitting save. Thanks
Assuming you're on Windows, you can remap My Documents onto your external hard drive. Right-click on My Documents, then click Properties. Change the "Target folder location" from, e.g.,
C:Documents and SettingsBobMy Documents
to something like:
E:
or whatever your external hard drive is named.
This will make the default Save location be on the external; it won't actually move anything you on your original, internal drive. It's actually a better idea to leave Windows itself on the original, internal drive. My advice is to just keep all your files (music, movies, games, ...) on the external.

Good to hear from you. Geneva seems an age ago already. Can't say I miss it hugely, except the GWG Committee, which was special.
We are still more or less camping in our house, which was my parents' and we are renovating. Still a couple of weeks work before we can bring in our belongings from storage and settle in. But it will be a gorgeous house.
