Store Cut Roll
When i was a kid, if you opened a can of tuna it was all cut like in a roll; now it is like squished parts?
Seems like 15 or 20 years ago i could buy a can of Tuna in water from the store and it would resemble a fresh cut of the fish. Like a section, or part of the "log". Nowadays, if i buy a can of Tuna, it's like little pieces of squished and finely chopped meat. What "brand" of tuna or style do i need to buy to get the "whole cut". And, why did this change? ..........I suspect more water and minced pieces produce more profit.....Thank you in advance...
STARKIST Gourmet Choice Solid Light Tuna Fillet. I like the kind that comes packed in olive oil and in a pop-top can. I keep it chilled in the refrigerator. It's a little more expensive than the squished kind, but worth it for the difference in quality. I think it's also available packed in water.

Does any remember oil cloths for art class?
We used them to protect our desk for when we had art class. I haven't seen them for many many years. We would go to the 5 and 10 store where different colored ones were on a big roll, and they cut it to your specification. By the way, does anyone know when the ''kindergarten" class was introduced into the school systems here in the U.S? I attended 1959-60.
We always tried to find cool oil cloth designs.
I,too,started "kindygarden" in 1959.
It's German for "Garden of Children"---I like it--like the little kids are sprouts!
