Own a KIRBY and I'm Getting a Sour Smell?
I have a Kirby G Force - A year ago the day after I shampooed my carpets I pulled it out to vaccuum like nromal. I have have hit some damp areas. After that Im getting a Sour Smell everytime I use it. I have taken it apart and cleaned the hose and chambers real good, I cleaned the Mirco Fiber Bag and went as far as to spray fabreeze on it, even aired it out. Ive change Vaccuum bags over and over. Even the closet I store it in smells sour. Can anyone that owns one have any clue how to get the sour smell out?
The smell is not from the closet - I have tranported this vaccuum and the Sour smell comes with it.
Ya, you should talk with any general store shop about any smell thing upon carpets and other thing.

my vaccuum is clogged! how do I unclog it?
My vaccuum is clogged - and I'm pretty sure that its from sucking up pine needles (ones from my christmas tree) - the vaccuum isn't sucking up as well now and the needles are caught in the hose (the one that I can disconnect to use it like a hand-held vaccuum). Is there any way to try and clean out these pine needles now? Please help - I dont want to have to go out and get a new one!
BTW - it is a regular bag vaccuum (Bissell)

It's an upright vacuum? I've never had one of those clog.
First, is the "beater bar" turning? This is the brush on the bottom that moves the dirt into the vacuum. If not, you're going to have to clean it. Unplug the vacuum. If there is a cover take it off; it's possible the clog is all right here. Get a seam ripper or small scissors and cut all the hair and stuff that's wrapped around the bar. Pull it all off by hand and put it in the trash (if you vacuum it, it will just wrap around the bar again.
If this is not the problem, try changing the bag. It may have just gotten full. Pull out anything you can see where the bag attaches to the vacuum.
