How did you beat your sugar addiction?

I'm a teen, and am way too addicted to any form of sugar. I can bypass the pasta, the chips, the soda, the gatorade, the 'empty' beverages.... but cannot pass up the sugar. At all. I've formed an acquired taste for it... I used to not be addicted when I was chubby. Then lost weight, was addicted while I was skinny (reduced calorie intake lots, but still ate sugar) and now I'm really addicted, but normal weight.
IT NEEDS TO STOP. Please help me. I've tried drinking lots of water, replacing sugar w/ sweet but lo-cal snacks, snapping a rubber band when I need sugar.. eating fruit. Nothing seems to help. I also started eating food then spitting it out or chewing little peices off of things til the whole package is gone.
It's so bad I have to try not to have baking items in my house because I love to bake.

Please don't ridicule me. I know this is a problem. Please help and don't judge me. THANKS!

How did you get up the willpower to quit COMPLETELY?

It's hard! But once your body gets used to no sugar, you won't even want it. I suggest starting slow, like no candy bars and no soda. Do that for a couple of weeks and then cut another sugary food out. You could try cold turkey, but that did not work for me.
