Automatic Vacuum Food
Ant problem in my Cat's room?
A month ago I found hundreds of ants stealing bits of cat food, I sprayed raid around the perimeter of the room and killed all ants I found. Thought the problem was gone but today I went in to check on his food and there were ants marching in again! I was about to go grab the raid and the vacuum when I noticed this: (we feed our cat with one of the large, automatic food dispensing bins) there were literally THOUSANDS of dead ants inside the bin and in his food. If i grabbed a handful of food my hand would be covered with at least 5 ants every time! I'm concerned that these ants died from raid poisoning shortly after entering the food bin since the raid was around the whole perimeter of the room! I am very concerned about my cat having eaten these ants! is it possible they died from something else and if not-is it dangerous for my cat to be eating them??

Thanks guys yeah it was disgusting!! definitely will do the ol moat method until I find the ant hill!!
Toss the food.
Look for the source of the ants. Use an animal friendly cleaner to wipe down the area. Ants walk along a trail from their secretions. You need to break that marker.
Usually ants come from an anthill outside, good luck with that. There are products to spray around the outside of the house.
You can use the old standby of putting the food in a moat. Ants can't swim.
