Is it possible to cycle a fish tank using fish food tea bags?
I'm planning to make teabags that will contain fish food as a source of ammonia for aquarium cycling will this work?
my tank is 35G, this idea came to me coz I was actually thinking of fishless cycling using raw shrimp, so to lessen the stink I was thinking if I could use fish food instead. feel free to comment guys thanks for the answers
Well, there isn't much that can go wrong. No fish are in the tank, so if you get too much ammonia then take the bag out. If you dont get enough, you can add some more or try something different.
You have nothing to loose apart from a week of your time and you might have invented the next big thing in cycling.

I worked in retail for many years. Not pet food, but I am sure this still applies. Manufacturers send sample sizes with direct, that is not through a distributor, orders.
Retailers order their products both directly and through large distributors. They will usually order most of the products that they buy in large quantity through a distributor since the distributor, itself buying in huge quantity can save the retailer money. Also, it saves the retail buyer making dozens of separate orders.
But when a retail buyer does order directly from a company the company will often send samples at no or at a very insignificant cost. Usually the free samples are of products that the company wants to promote but not always.
So I think the only possible way for you to get samples is to contact individual companies and ask. Don't think they'll give you the samples since you aren't selling their product but if you are affiliated with a shelter, perhaps.

Hop in the canoe and find a site interior. We spend 4-5 days adults only. It seems the only way to get away from the hustle and bustle of kids (6 grown) and work. No cell phones!!!! it is the life.
You can not bring any food into the new stadium, they are very strict on those things. I was able to find menus and prices for two of the restaurants inside of the stadium if that gives you any idea of the prices.
