Canister Roll
how to tell if a roll of film is used already?
so i bought a lomo fisheye camera a few months back and took some pictures with it until the roll was done, however when i put the roll of film back in the canister i didnt mark it so now i have four canisters with film rolls in them but not sure which is the one i used already, the others were not used so i was wondering if there was a way i could tell a used roll of film from a unused one,thanks in advance
normally when film is rewound it goes entirely back inside the cassette. you should have 3 with a pigtale of film ready to load, and one that does not have a film end showing.

How to make a 2" canister shell out of a toilet paper roll.
What should I do now? PENTAX K-1000 Film SLR HELP!?
I'm in photo class, and I loaded my film as per usual, but as I'm taking pictures, something happens.
I reached the end of my film, but it's not doing the proper thing where you pull up the thing that spins (forgot the name) and turn it, like you would to roll the film back into the canister, and nothing happens, and all I hear is a sound like the film getting caught.
Like an idiot, I opened the thing (I'm used to using a DSLR) and might exposed all of my film.
Can someone explain what happened and if there's any hope my film isn't overexposed?

Here are a couple of possibilities:
1. you tried to wind the film on beyond the last frame and pulled the tail of the film out of the cassette, that is, off the spool. Remedy: Open the camera back in the dark and load the film directly into the developing tank. Future reference: Just 36 frames on a film. An attempt to get more can result in this problem.
2. You started to rewind the film without pressing the button on the camera baseplate which disengages the lever wind mechanism. Result: torn film perforations and a film jammed against the cassette jaws. Remedy: try again, g-e-n-t-l-y, and if you feel any resistance, stop: you'll make things worse and possibly damage the winding gear. If it still won't wind back, remove the film in the dark as in 1 above.
Now, the film you exposed: Develop it. You won't have lost all of your shots because the film inside the roll will be protected by the outer layers. At worst you'll lose 10-15 frames. At best 4 or 5.
