Vacumn Food

My mom and dad are disgusting eaters?
Ok when my mom eats she makes these disgusting spit popping noises and chews with her mouth open, and makes all these nast bubbley sounds like she has peanut butter kottonmouth, and she talks with her mouth full of food , and she drools a little!! EW
And my dad blows out his nose when he eats and its not like, kindof, it sounds like a freaking vacumn because he has snot in his nose or whatever and it makes his nose wistle, what do i do?
Well it sounds to me like you are looking for things to complain about. At least you are getting to eat, safe, in a home, with both your parents and roof over your head. Do you know how many kids would love to hear the sounds your parents make while they are eating?? Don't sweat the small stuff. Just let them be an example of how you DON'T want to eat and get over it.

What kinds of meals can I bring for three days out in the mountains backpacking?
Hi,
I'll be going on a backpacking trip for three days in the mountains. I've already done a few trips like these before, (but only 5!) but I'm still a complete newbie when it comes to the types of food to bring. So many times I have been forced to eat crappy tasing things for the sake of calorie-loading, so now me and my backpacking buds are looking for something with real flavor.
I'd like to know what kinds of breakfasts, lunches and suppers more seasoned travelers like you like to bring. Is it light and easy to carry? Does it load lots of calories? Is it enough to share for three?
But also, although recommending me powdered and instant "just boil and add water" things are ok, I'm looking for things that aren't in a vacumn sealed package.
Thanks!
beef jerky, and home-made trail mix is good for protein. i like the special K bars for breakfast, make sure the stuff is nice and light to carry along, because you should carry as much water as you can.

Sisterbelle (or should I now call you DINK w/child) – Thanks to you, I own the wonderful, indispensible, best invention ever, vacuum food saver; my savior! I typically take the cook on Sunday theory a few steps further and once or twice a month on a rainy Saturday or Sunday I’ll have 4 or 5 dishes going on top of the stove or in the oven. There are just two of us (empty nesters that we are) but somehow I've not yet learned to cook for 2; 8 maybe, 2 no. So…..I cook for 8 x 4 dishes = 32 servings or 16 meals. I do this probably once or twice a month and have quite the quick selection of homemade, delicious entrees a fingertip away in my upright freezer. One or the other of us will stop at the farm stand (or grocery store in the winter) for fresh veggies two or three times a week and we’re good to go within 15 minutes of getting home. My darling husband knows that he will never, ever lack for food in our house (or toilet paper, paper towels….but that’s another genetic story).
